Journey to the Blood Stained Home - Page 3 Empty Re: Journey to the Blood Stained Home

Post by Guest April 18th 2011, 7:37 pm

Karma's ears perked from where she sat. It seemed that Rune was having a few issues, which Maiara was quick to come and aid him with. Should it be strange to her, that she was still staying up and doing the duties that she had once done as a Guard? It seemed that she had grown accustomed to the lack of sleep, and now, the extra time to sleep seemed like a waste of time. Why waste time sleeping, when there are so many threats against us? she thought solemly, her golden orbs gleaming in the gloomy moonlight. She rose and stretched, ears tuned for anything abnormal. She could hear Silver having rounds with a stranger wolf, and Soranhaving light fun with one of the newer pack members.

((Lame, but I needed to post because these 10 pages ninja'ed up like a ninja!!!!))

Silver stirred in her sleep, her paws twitching slightly in a pattern. Back, back, front, front, over and over. She was running, running as fast as she could. No matter how fast she ran, a figure towered over her, slowly falling upon her as if to swallow her into it's shadow, throw her into an unknown abyss of fear in which she'd never escape. She was sprinting at full speed, but the only progress she made was inches. A terrible shrieking and groaning came from above her, and as she figure bore down on her and came an inch from hitting her she jerked in her sleep and then stilled.

She was standing in a field, the grass was oddly green and had no brown or dead grass. A few small, scattered trees lay about the clearing, and as it went into more dense forestry a mist surrounded it, thickening until it was no longer visible. She took a few steps forward, and as if she was a light the mist thinned in front of her, thickened behind her, and stayed symmetrical on the sides. Two wolves stood right in front of her, her father, and one whom she assumed was her deceased brother. He was pitch black, in a likeness to his parent next to him, and his eyes were crystal blue yet slightly tinged with grey. Curious, she tilted her head. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, a trench appeared beneath her with fire within it's crevices and cracks. She was flung down into the hole, and then woke, her eyes wide and alarmed. Realizing it was a dream, she rested her head but still had an uncanny sense of doom looming above her. This forest was wrong.

Ninja, being the new wolf to the pack, didn't know what to do. He sat down, hoping and waiting for someone to tell him how things worked around here.

Falco picked up the scent of a new wolf in the territory. Picking himself to his paws he bounded off to the direction it came from his pure white coat still tainted by the dirt he previously rolled in. He stopped spotting a male wolf with a cream underlay and a covered by a grey blanket. His ears shot up and he sales towards the wolf. "Hello" he spoke boldly "you have entered the territory of the banishin winds pack..." the white male paused cleared his throat "Names Falco, do you wish to join? he finished cooly. He studied the new wolf whilst awaiting an answer.

Silver yawned as the sun broke through the fog settled over the tops of the forest, it's rods of bright, seemingly excited light dancing and arranging sun spots over the grass. Crawling out and rising to her feet, she looked about the clearing and felt something odd. Something was warning her, and she assumed it meant to leave the den. This was a mistake, if her dream wasn't enough she didn't feel her stomach lurch as she padded out of the clearing. Numb from the earlier happening, she weaved through the trees as if she were dancing. The feeling got worse as she progressed, but she could not feel it enough to take any notice. She passed an older, crippled tree that had a large hollow in it;s side, but took no notice of the danger. Suddenly, a cool wind whipped through the forest as if telling her to run, and triggering the near fatal experience the younger female was about to go through.

With a terrible shrieking and groaning, the tree swayed and then a large, loud crack sounded and echoed through the trees. She whipped around to face the sound, just as she sharp branches bore down on her. A few sharper ones scratched shallow cuts into her ,and with a yell of surprise she tried to run sideways, but it was like a cage of thorns. It progressed faster then, and she was shoved to her side by a larger branch, and got the wind knocked out of her as her soft underbelly became bruised. More scratching, and smaller cracks, and then a loud thump that also echoed. Then another, smaller crack, and a scream of agony, her lower leg just above her paw had been snapped, and her hind end was pinned underneath. More scratching, like a hundred daggers being swiped across her in all directions. Then the female shuddered in an attempt to free herself. The pain was too much, and the tree too heavy for her in the weakened state. With another, less shudder, her head flopped to the ground like a rag doll, unconscious.

***

It will take around three wolves to free her, two to lift the tree and one to drag her out.

Falco heard the sharp snap and his ears twigged. He looked to the new wolf smiling weakly still awaiting a response. He flinched as a crack echoed through the forest and heard a desperate cry for help. His ears flattened as he knew the cry came from Silver. His heart broke and muttered "Silver" he looked desperately to the new wolf and turned and bounded off to help his mate.

He raced through the forest and came across a huge fallen tree spotting a white flicker of a tail. He bounded around to the other side seeing the unconscious Silver lay helplessly under the fallen tree. Fear shined through his eyes and he raised his head and broke a howl for help as he knew he couldn't free her on his own.

Selene woke with a start, jumping from where she was laying next to Soran. Ears perked and alert the Scout listened carefully as the sound of snapping branches and twigs echoed throughout the woods.'Silver!' she heard Falco's call ring through the air. Without wasting a moment the she-wolf began sprinting towards the sound of broken limber, her heart racing as she feared what she might find. A howl rang from nearby; it was Falco. Veering around and tree the chestnut female came upon a scene she wished she didn't have to see.

Laying crushed underneath the fallen tree was a mass of white fur. Silver. "What happened?" She asked, leaping nimbly over the tree's trunk to move around next to Falco. She knew the question was pointless, it was obvious what had taken place.

Falco stared helplessly at the fallen Silver. He heard selene coming towards them. "What happened?" Falco looked to his paws thinking and stuttered "I-I-I have no idea, but
I think that the tree just fell upon her..."
he looked at the fallen tree and studied one of it's branches, it was old and rotten. 'So that's why it fell' he thought and announced to Selene "it's a dead rotten tree that's why it fell" he choked up and looked around desperately for more signs of help.

Karma's ears perked at the sound of a crashing tree. She sprinted to the source to see a tree on top of a mass of white fur. She froze. It was like she was witnessing her elder brother's death all over again. But this time, with a tree rather than rocks. She darted to the fae's side, "Silver?" It would be detrimental to move the tree in any harmful way. Her eyes flit to Selene. "We need to find out where the most of the tree's weight is focused and move it from there," she barked, as if totaly used to this kind of thing.

Crimzen walked his way through the forest, his ears standing stiff on his head. He lowered his head towards the earth, sniffing the fallen leaves at his feet. A loud thud startled the male, he nearly jumped 5 feet in the air, his fur standing on ends like porcupine needles. Till lowering them to it's normal level, Crimzen took a deep breathe, therefore sustaining his heart rate. He gazed around him, looking for the cause of the disturbing noise, his ears twitched hearing communication,

"What happened?" He heard a female say,

"I-I-I have no idea, but
I think that the tree just fell upon her..." Crimzen turned, following the voices and scents. He stopped in his tracks once the wolves came into view, he stood quietly behind a tree, shifting his head to peek over the side of the trunk.

"Maybe I should help..." Wonder Crimzen, his paws moving to take a step forward, thought he hesitated,

'What if they see me as the enemy?' He thought, shivering. "I'm not in any condition to fight.." He mumbled, hearing his stomach grumble quietly.

Soran's eye snapped open as he heard a thunderous crack echoing through the forest. He only had time to register the absent warmth of Selene and the desperate cries of others before leaping to his paws and taking off in the direction of the sound. As he grew closer he saw the small white form of Silver crushed beneath a dead tree, her fur scored with cuts. A small sigh of relief escaped him before his attention snapped back to the situation at hand. Picking his way around the others, the male approached the thick trunk of the tree and leaned against it. It shifted ever so slightly but refused to budge more then a few inches. A look of concentration creased his face as he gazed at his surroundings; Selene, Karma and Falco where all there, as well as an unfamiliar wolf. “There should be a way for us to roll this tree off of her as long as someone is there to pull her out when we do.” He said, his voice surprisingly calm.

Ninja's ears shot up. He answered the white pelted males questions. "Yes sir I do wish to join. Is there any specific things I need to do in order to be accepted?" Ninja rose up from his sitting position and stood straight, looking at the white wolf named Falco, waiting for an answer.

(Things for the help Falco. Really appreciate it XD)

Falco relaxed a little seeing how calm both Soran and Karma where. He looked to Soran as he suggested what they should do. "I-I-I-I'll carry her out if you guys can lift it" he stuttered looking to those around him. He was still quite scared and fearful but was more relaxed and calm having his pack mates around him now.

Selene watched as Karma and Soran arrived on the scene. She took a breath trying to calm her nerves she shifted lightly on her paws. The breath did nothing to help calm her. She took another. It was all just an accident. Just an accident. She told herself trying to remain calm. Selene looked at those around her. How were they all so seemingly calm? Their voices blended together, their words turning to nothing as Selene scanned them over, her sanity hanging on a thin thread. She couldn't look at Silver without seeing herself. The pain the she-wolf must be in made her think of all the abuse Ania put her through. In desperation Selene leaned against the tree, trying to roll it. Though she wasn't very strong and still recovering from lack of food she didn't have much muscle behind her. The tree barely even moved. The she-wolf pressed her head against the trunk, trying to steady her breath. Closing her eyes as she listened to the wolves babble around her.

Crimzen lowered his ears, his ears twitching seeing how calm and collected the wolves where.

'Looks like they need some help.'' He thought tilting his head, 'Maybe I could help.' Crimzen turned his head behind, studying himself, he wasn't as then as he thought he was. He took a breathe,
'It's worth a shot.' Slowly he walked out of the shadows lightened his coat,

"Hello." He greeted them, with a small wag of his tail. "I'm not as fit as the rest of you." Crimzen said, smiling sheepishly, "But I would like to help with you."

Queen got up listening to the pack mates, she looked around and heard everyone. She trotted over and saw Silver, she froze and gasped. "We-we-we need to try." she said and approached the tree, "has to be a way to roll this thing off of her!" she whispered. 'probably going to do something bad' she thought. "could we possible push with out paws?" she asked and looked back to see Falco worried as ever. She sighed and muttered "We will get her out.." she said sitting down and ran through her kind to think of ideas.

Queen approached the tree as she pushed the tree slightly, it was kinda or heavy. She pulled her paws back and look at her bloody paw and had a idea. "why don't we see if any sticks are holdin it down from rolling?" she asked quietly as she ran around the dead tree and looked for anything, she was worried about the tree on Silver even though she dislikes the female.

Falco watched Queen arrive. By this stage the male had started trembling lightly. He watched as Queen explained but nothing seemed to enter his ears at this time. He watched as Queen fidgeted around the tree and seemed to by trying to move it. Falco stumbled forth and tried pressing his paws up against the tree trying to free Silver. He barked to Queen and the others standing around "help me push it if there's enough of us it will roll off!

Queen nodded she backed up and shoved the dead tree with her shoulder and neck, she pushed with Falco. Her eyes wandered as she sighed, she shoved the three with all her might but couldn't move it. She sighed and gasped, her eyes shot everywhere she needs to be stronger! She pushed forcefully as she left marks of her claws digging in. She sighed and looked down while pushing.

Selene looked up, feeling the tree moving slightly from where she had had her head resting against it. Falco and Queen were pushing it, trying to roll it off. Without much thought the female joined in, pushing into it with any strength she had. Selene shut her eyes as she leaned against the tree, trying to concentrate.

Deciding to use her smaller frame to her advantage, Karma wiggled her way under the tree where it was closest to Silver. From there, seeing that other wolves were trying to roll it off, Karma planted her paws on the ground and lifted her back to get the weight of of her white friend. It was a troublesome effort, but managed to at least get the tree to move a little more than before. "You doing okay there, Silver?" She asked, not knowing whether or not the fae was conscious.

Queen was glad the tree was moved, she looked at Silver. 'I don't want to crowd her,' she thought.. pulling her ears back she walked off. Sitting down she licked her paw and sighed, rolling to her side she thought about the song her mother had tough her. "Everybody needs inspiration, Everybody needs a soul.." she whispered, "Yea when my world is falling apart, When there's no light to break up the dark.." she whispered, 'That's when I, I... I look at you..' she thought.. "Everybody needs inspiration, Everybody needs a soul. A beautiful melody When the nights so long Cause there is no guarantee That this life is easy..." She whispered lightly, 'I miss the old me.' she thought.

Soran stepped away from the dead tree as Silver's leg was freed from its tangled branches. Though he was sure she was unconscious, the last thing needed was a crowd; Falco and Karma would be all the help she would need. The male padded away through the thicket until he reached a clearing of pine. A sudden exhaustion seemed to fall over him as he lowered himself in the grass, but sleep failed to overcome him. The delta rolled on his back in an attempt to warm his belly against the cold autumn air and he focused on the few painted leaves that still clung to their branches, desperate to keep their hold against the tugging breeze.

Selene took a few steps back from the tree as Silver was freed from it's tangling grip. She was concerned for the female but she was sure she wasn't really needed on the scene. All she was doing was taking up space. Her gaze shifted as she watched Soran trot off into the undergrowth. She sighed before turning to make her way into the trees.

The brown she-wolf walked silently. What an event to wake to... She thought. She was having a rather peaceful dream for once and felt a tad grumpy about being woken up in the middle of it. She shook her head. If she hadn't been there Silver still could've been trapped. She decided it was better after all that she lost her dream.

She came to a stop near a small stream, perking her ears to listen to the babbling of the water as it rushed over pebbles and around large boulders. The sound soothed her, like a gentle lullaby. Selene gracefully leaped onto a nearby rock. Sitting down, she let the sun prick at her pelt and help warm her up from the night's chill.
